Lexington, KY – The Kentucky Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) – Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Matching Funds Program is accepting applications for Round 17 through the month of October.

The program is funded by the Cabinet for Economic Development (CED) Office of Commercialization and Innovation (OCI.)  It provides matching funds up to $150,000 for Phase I and up to $500,000 for Phase II (up to two years). These matching funds are intended for use by new and additional work tasks that are complementary to a company’s existing Federal SBIR-STTR Award.

Companies from Kentucky and those willing to move to Kentucky can apply and receive Matching Funds Grant Awards.

The deadline to submit an application for Round 17 is 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 31, 2012. The awards process will be competitive and include an external review.
